3D-Cam Pilot is a library designed and developed by Digitec, intended to be integrated into different acquisition software (software that will generate the x-ray images), and to process three-dimensional information to achieve an augmented reality assistive technology.
This algorithm involves a combination of three essential components:
- - Positioning: identifies the position of the detector, collimator and AEC chambers projecting the overlays on the image of the patient.
- - Patient thickness: patient’s body thickness is measured and resulting values are transmitted to the acquisition software for a possible size suggestion.
- - Tracking & Autocollimation: the movement the system must execute, and the collimator aperture are measured to expose correctly the anatomical area of interest.
