The socket station is a medium-pressure device with backstop that allows the supply of a 2nd stage reducer, tap, or measuring instrument. It must allow delivery of the intended gas without exceeding the allowable pressure drop. Use sockets made of brass or stainless steel machined from bar, have backstop terminated with nut with 3/8″ Gas thread characteristics, right-handed thread for combustible and inert gases and left-handed thread for combustible gases. Inlet fittings are in Girolok, Ø6 or Ø10 as required. The backstop shutter opens when a 2nd stage reducer or tap is screwed onto the outlet union nut. A label allows permanent identification of the outlet with indication of: gas name, chemical symbol.
