Description

The EliDNA PS Green Plus dye is a higly sensitive nucleic acid stain and provides a full replacement for the traditionally used ethidium bromide dye. Unlike ethidium bromide, it is not cytotoxic and does not require special biohazard disposal, but at the same time provides a better signal in the blue, blue-green and UV regions of light. This allows visualization of DNA fragments in conjunction with modern LED technology as well as conventional UV illuminators. The EliDNA PS Green Plus dye is safe, and is environmentally friendly. Due to high sensitivity can be EliDNA PS Green Plus used for dsDNA, ssDNA or RNA detection on agarose or polyacryamide gels. The EliDNA PS Green Plus dye can be used with various detecting system such as standard UV detection with 300 nm transilluminator or 254 nm transilluminator, blue-light transilluminator or even visible visible light detection with 488 nm laser-based scanner. PS-labeled dyes are suitable for gel staining before or after electrophoresis. For precast gel staining, EliDNA PS Green Plus should be diluted 10 000 times. In case of post gel staining, dye solution needs to be diluted 5 000 times.
