Human herpes virus 6 (HHV6) is a common virus acquired during the first few years of life, and is able to induce serious complications after transplantation. HHV6 reactivation after solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation can generate permanent neurological disabilities and death if not promptly detected, and can also potentiate cytomegalovirus infection. HHV6 diagnosis and viral load monitoring is crucial to detect the infection early and provide an adapted anti-viral therapy. HHV6 ELITe MGB® Kit is a real-time PCR assay designed for the detection and quantification of human herpes virus 6 variants A and B DNA. The assay is CE-IVD validated on different sample types, in combination with ELITe InGenius®, a fully automated sample-to-result solution.
