ecgAVG is a software module available within IOX2 software, or as a standalone module, to acquire and analyze average ECG beats. This module is particularly recommended and well suited to analyze rodents ECG recordings acquired with the ecgTUNNEL device.
Designed for snapshot ECG analysis
Snapshot Electrocardiogram recordings in conscious unanesthetized rodents are very useful for longitudinal studies, where the subjects are studied on successive experiment days, or when subjects are particularly fragile and cannot tolerate surgery or anaesthesia.
However, as subject is conscious, recorded data are typically variable in quality, and real time beat to beat analysis is generally not optimized.
Averaging ECG beats is a method that can drastically improve signal quality and facilitate further intervals analysis. Indeed, the ecgAVG module provides the ability to manually select time zones where signal quality is good enough for beats detection, averaging and analysis.
Though ecgAVG module has been designed for rodents ECGs and the ecgTUNNEL device, it might be used to analyze the ECG of any specy.
