Description

O-scan SMART is a comfortable and non-claustrophobic system dedicated to clinical investigations of lower and upper joints. This plug-and-play solution features a compact, lightweight design that requires only 9 square meters of space, making it suitable for use as a standalone in-office scanner or alongside whole-body scanners in radiology departments. Since only the extremity being examined is inside the system, patients remain outside the magnet, minimizing claustrophobia. O-scan SMART offers consistent image quality and easy workflow, enhanced by Esaote software. It includes advanced scanning techniques that reduce scan time, perform 3D isotropic acquisitions, minimize metal artifacts and enable real-time motion imaging, facilitating the study of joints functionally. The capability to observe joint motion becomes differentiating for certain pathologies because it allows clinicians to see aspects that would otherwise be difficult to put in evidence. From an economic standpoint, the O-scan SMART is highly efficient, consuming less than 1kW during operation. It requires no helium, no cryogens and water-cooling, making it easy to install and maintain with low operating costs.
