Trocars are the first point of contact into a patient and need to do many jobs - maximize visibility and maneuverability, enable surgical flow, and minimize exposure to pneumoperitoneum gas. ENDOPATH XCEL™ Trocars are designed to offer the control and consistency needed throughout the procedure from open to close.
About this Device
ENDOPATH XCEL™ Trocars are surgical instruments used in minimally invasive surgery that function as a portal for the subsequent insertion of other endoscopic instruments. The portfolio of trocars are available in bladeless, dilating tip, blunt tip, and universal sleeves and come in a broad range of sizes and lengths, including 5mm, 8mm, 11mm, 12mm, and 15mm. Bladeless trocars separate along tissue fibers during trocar insertion. Dilating tip trocars have a sharp flat-bladed tip and a spring-loaded shield for trocar insertion. Blunt tip trocars have suture stays to secure fixation to the abdominal wall.
