Description

The FREEWAY™ 035 AV Paclitaxel-eluting PTA balloon dilatation catheter is an over-the-wire (OTW) catheter which is specially designed for peripheral arteriovenous (AV) interventions in dialysis patients. It is indicated for widening stenosis of de novo and restenotic AV fistulas and shunt graft lesions to reduce re-interventions and to preserve future treatment options. Proven Efficacy & Safety The use of Eurocors DEBs is an effective alternative as any stentless technology for the improvement of long-term patency and might be preferable to the long-term persistence of a foreign body. Several randomized studies proved safety and efficacy of DEB also used as a supportive addition in treatments when a stent is essential. High Pressure Balloon Eurocors FREEWAY AV is one of the few high-pressure DEB balloon catheters on the market and is made of PA, Polyamid/ Nylon. Offering a RBP (rated burst pressure) up to 20 atm it is recommended to be used for applications in which the balloon needs to expand to a specific diameter and exert high pressure to open a blockage or dilate the vasculature (for example Shunt Stenosis). Safe Coating Technology Eurocors DEB’s offer a homogeneous surface composed of the smooth amorphous coating with Shellac and Paclitaxcel which protects the drug from early wash off. A consistent and predictable drug delivery to the artery lesion site results in a homogenous and maximized drug absorption into the arterial tissue. Reduces Re-intervention The Freeway Av Procedures follows the “leave nothing behind” target. The intervention can be repeated several times and enlarges the re-intervention time effectively of several months.
