A lever handle surface mounted outside access device for use with any ExiSAFE panic or emergency device. It enables final exit escape doors to be used as access door, without removing the ability to escape. The outside access device can be installed to pull face of outward opening doors. The design of the lever handle helps with barrier free access to a building and the unit includes a shear screw that has been designed to snap when the unit is locked and excessive force is applied to prevent the door from being forced open. Uses and supplied with a standard 45mm single cylinder but can be supplied without to facilitate masterkey needs.
