Infant oxygen hood 016

Hood model 016 in three different sizes, to facilitate use in pediatric or neonatal cribs; sizes 1 and 2 are supplied with a top ring for use under radiant heating, maintaining high oxygen levels without the cover impairing the heating. Size 1: suitable for newborns weighing less than 1000 grams; size 2: suitable for newborns weighing between 1000 and 3600 grams; size 3: suitable for newborns weighing more than 3600 grams. Main features • Completely constructed of high quality optical clear acrylic; • Cover with a central hole for oxygen sensor or thermometer inlet; • Front opening for patient’s neck and two other small side openings to release excess CO2 in case of lack of oxygen; • Equipped with oxygen inlet valve with baffle on the inside, so that gas does not directly enter or cool the patient’s head; • Due to their design, none of these openings need to be sealed to obtain desired levels of oxygen concentration, constituting, therefore, an essential safety factor.
