T8999 is an equipment designed to meet the increasing need for easy and clean identification of the position of the leak on a piece being tested, therefore eliminating the need for methods such as water tank immersion or use of leak detecting sprays, which are harmful for the pieces which could develop rust or pieces that are difficult to accurately clean.
The probe, with a 30° arm, enables approach to the most critical leak points, and signals its position and size, helping the operator with the indication led and warning buzzer.
The mix of hydrogen used is 5%, therefore not explosive or dangerous for the work environments or the operators.
The new T8999 equipment includes ports for the USB slave, RS232, RS485, Profinet, EtherNet IP and EtherCAT. Assembly may also include an optional Ethernet port and a 26-pole connector with 4 inputs and 8 outputs, which are completely programmable, for interfacing with the external valves, safety barriers, switches, etc...
The front panel has a master USB port assembled on it for connection to a USB key to save the tests conducted, backup/restore parameters and upgrade firmware.
The connection to thermal printers, barcode/data-matrix readers and markers takes place automatically using an internal menu.
T8999 has a dual use, integrating both the classic absolute decay leak test method and that of leak identification.
The test parameters allow automatic start-up of the leak identification cycle in the event of a rejected piece, making the process semi-automatic.
The sensitivity of the leak detection probe is 1 cc/h, independent of the pressure and the volume being tested.
