Medical gas outlets are one of the last stages in the flow of medical gases between the production room and the patient. These outlets must be handled by the nursing staff. In order to avoid any error in medical gas administration, these outlets are specific to each gas in accordance with ISO 9170-1. The color marking of each outlet also facilitates the operations of connecting the equipment for delivering medical gases.
A medical gas outlet is composed of several elements:
A baseblock specific to each medical gas, in order to avoid connecting the base of one gas to the socket of another one
A specific gas socket for each gas
An external box
