Synthetic absorbable braided thread, purple. Composition: PGLA - polyglycolic acid (90%) and lactic acid polymere (10%). Coating: Polyglycolid-co-L-lactid and calcium stearate. • Sterilised with ethylene oxide. • Tolerance: excellent. • Smoothness: very easy passage through tissues, coating minimises sawing effect. • Flexibility: very easy to work with and easy to knot. • Knot security: excellent. • Loss of tensile strength: 50% at 21 days. • Absorption by hydrolysis in 60 to 80 days. • Lasts under storage. • Indications: versatile suture (uterus, muscles, skin). • Packaging: vacuum-sealed in an aluminium bag in a cardboard box. • Expiration date: 3 years; 4 months after opening. • Expiration: 3 years if stored in its original packaging, 4 months once opened.
