Description The SID 2 option enables the integration of the barcode reader within the automated sample preparation process using the MultiPurposeSampler MPS. The barcode reader reads one or two-dimensional barcodes, such as QR codes, located on vials or tubes. The barcode reader is quick and ready to use without any time-consuming adjustments. In place of the usual laser technology, it makes use of non-hazardous LED technology. The system is controlled using the MAESTRO software. Within the software itself, all sample preparation steps can be prepped ahead to save time. Functional principle of the SID 2 option The barcode reader reads one and two-dimensional barcodes on vials and tubes. The barcodes are optionally written in a sequence table or compared with specified values in a sequence table. The reading step can be incorporated at any point within the automated sample preparation process.
