The new Givas "NEST" SL6050 pediatric beds comply with the strictest regulations of pediatric wards, in terms of active and passive safety of ypungest patients and of health workers. Simple and modern lines meet the highest standards for security and infection control. The use of transparent polycarbonate allows to have maximum external visibility to give the baby the feeling not to be locked up. NEST side-rails can be lowered down in few seconds allowing the operator to reach the patient with rapidity in case of any emergency situation. Side-rails are endowed with a balanced-descent system and with a pushbutton unlock, which is protected by a safety-tab to avoid accidental pressures. NEST can be equipped with 2 kind of side rails: made of transparent Polycarbonate or with vertical aluminum laths. Head/foot boards support frame is molded with widely radiated and connected surfaces, endowed with bumpers and ergonomic handles for the movement of the bed. Side rails unlock system has been studied considering the possible presence of children outside the bed. That’s the reason why it was designed a system to prevent their accidental unlock: it is necessary to slightly raise the side rail to activate a recessed button which in turn is protected by a rotatable tab. The simple, ergonomic and devoid of edges shapes have been contained not to hinder assistance and care operations. All external surfaces are well linked one the other and devoid of handholds. The upper edges of side rails and foot/head panels are rounded. Head/foot boards, made of polycarbonate, can be removed through an easy motion of one hand, after having unlocked the outer knob.
