Bipolar scissors enable cutting and dissection with simultaneous bipolar coagulation and can also be used for precise punctate or areal coagulation of vessels and tissue surfaces. Bipolar clamps, on the other hand, provide perfect coagulation results when clamping tissue and vessels.
For the first time, double-jointed, bipolar instruments are now available for thoracic surgery and lift laparoscopy, enabling precise dissection and coagulation (even in deeper surgical fields) without having to forego the advantages of conventional clamps and scissors.
