WellLife test The WellLife test is a colorimetric method dedicated to the evaluation of the antioxidant power of saliva. The WellLife test is based on the discoloration of a red solution containing ferric ions complexed by the thiocyanate ion through the work of the antioxidants present in saliva. Antioxidants have the power to reduce the ferric ion to ferrous, causing the solution to change color. Higher is the concentration of antioxidants, clearer will be the solution under examination.
