About metagenomic next-generation sequencing
mNGS whole process includes wet-lab procedures and dry-lab procedures, the wet-lab procedures include: sample pre-treatment, nucleic acid extraction, library preparation, Library quantification, Sequencing. The different reagents will be needed for the procedures.
The dry-lab procedures include Sequencing data quality control, comparison and analysis etc.
Through years R&D, MatriDx has lanched host depletion reagents kits, DNA/RNA Library prep kits and NGS library quantification kit.
Host Depletion Reagent kit
Application
This kit is used to deplete host DNA from samples (including BALF, Hydrothorax and ascites, CSF, sputum, etc.), It has been verified that this kit can effectively enrich bacteria, fungi, DNA viruses, chlamydia, and mycoplasma in clinical samples, it can greatly improve the detection sensitivity of mNGS.
Advantages
Low time: consumption: the total time is about 15 minutes (about 2-4 hours for other methods)
High efficiency: The proportion of total microbial sequences is increased by an average of 29.4 times.
Advantages
1. Increased the detection rate, reduced the rate of false negative.
2. Increased the RPM, Increase the credibility of identification.
3. It can identify species and even subspecies.
DNA/RNA Library prep kit
Application
This kit is used for nucleic acid extraction and library preparation for illumina sequencers, it includes DNA/RNA extraction, RNA reverse transcription, DNA/cDNA fragmentation, end repair A tailing, adaptor ligation, Library purification.
