Non-adherent to wound bed, underlying tissues, and secondary dressings. Porous construction permeable to wound exudate
For treatment of superficial, acute and chronic, slightly to moderately exudating wounds of all types
Can also be used as a protective layer on non-exuding wounds and on sensitive skin areas
Protects organs and other sensitive structures during use in negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT)
Can be cut to the size of the wound and remain in place for up to 7 days
How to apply:
Clean and dry the wound area per protocol prior to application.
Select an Atrauman Silicone size which precisely covers the wound. You can cut the dressing to size accordingly. Use sterile scissors. If you have to use more than one piece, ensure that the pores are exposed where the pieces of the dressing overlap.
Remove the dressing with both covering films from the peel package.
Firmly hold the longer of the two covering films while pulling off the other film.
Place the adhesive side on the wound and smooth out the dressing. Then remove the remaining covering film.
