【Intended use】 This kit is used for qualitative detection of parainfluenza virus type 3 (PIV3) nucleic acid in pharyngeal swab samples. Parainfluenza virus is an important pathogen in the respiratory tract of infants and young children, causing many types of infections. It is the second most common pathogen of infant pneumonia and bronchiolitis within 6 months. Causes cold symptoms such as fever, sore throat, etc. It also causes serious recurrent infections of lower respiratory diseases such as pneumonia, bronchitis and bronchiolitis, especially in infants, the elderly and people with immunodeficiency. The test object of this kit is an oropharyngeal swab sample of a patient with the above respiratory symptoms. Parainfluenza virus (PIV) belongs to the Paramyxoviridae family, the Paramyxoviridae subfamily. PIV can be divided into 4 different types according to the genotype and antigenicity, which are PIV1 to PIV4, PIV1 and PIV3 belong to the genus of respiratory viruses, PIV2 and PIV4 belong to the parotid inflammatory virus. PIV1 and PIV3 are important pathogens that cause upper and lower respiratory tract infections in humans (especially in infants and young children). This kit is suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of PIV3 infection. The results are for clinical reference only, and the results cannot be used alone as the basis for confirming or excluding cases.
