CYP2C9 & VKORC1 test kit is intended for qualitative detection of the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of three loci CYP2C9*2 (C430T), CYP2C9*3 (A1075C) and VKORC1 (G-1639A) which provides information about patient’s sensitivity to anticoagulation drug Wafarin.
Clinical applications
CYP2C9 & VKORC1 SNP test can be used as a guide for determination of Wafarin dosage for patients who need to take anticoagulation therapy. Before the patient commences taking the drug, the clinician may decide the initial dose for the patient based on the SNP test results. When the patient’s coagulation function has reached to and stabilized at the target level, the Wafarin dosage may be adjusted accordingly based on the patient’s SNP test result along with the INR values measured periodically. Such a way can significantly reduce Wafarin’s side effects and potential risks to the patient.
Key Features
Ø Detection principle: Real-time PCR Melting curve.
Ø SNP Detection of three loci: CYP2C9*2 (C430T), CYP2C9*3 (A1075C) and VKORC1 (G-1639A).
Ø Easy to read the result with melting curve peak and melting temperature to distinguish gene type.
