Description

Postmortem Stapler provides a safe, fast and efficient option for skin closure. Reduces needle and sharps exposures. Arrow guide assists in accurate staple placement. It also features an easy-to-read staple counter. SPECIFICATIONS: - Safer: Reduces needle Sticks - Fast:Eliminates threading Needles. Reduces Stitching Time - Cost Effective: May be used on more than one case. 3-5 single site ceses per stapler. - Convenient: Preloaded with 35; 6,35 mm length Staples. Easy-to-read Staple counter. Low profile for clear view. Arrow guide assists accurate placement. - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Dry incision site to remove excess fluid. Place incision sealer of choice in the site. - When closing skin flap on a post autopsy case, insert a 1/2 -1 strip of absorbent towel or cotton in the incision site for best seal. - With Tissue Forceps, pull one side of skin to opposite side to close the incision. - Position the stapler over the incision aligning the arrow on the stapler nose with the skin edges. - Compress the trigger completely and release completely. - Continue in this fashion to the next position and repeat steps 4 and 5. Staples should be placed no more than 1/4″ apart to insure good closure without leakage. - Cover incision site with adhesive product of choise and cover with cotton or plastic. - Stapler may be sterilized between uses by cold or gas sterilization. •Do not use heat or steam sterilization methods. - Dispose of empty stapler in Infectious Waste Container
