IDEAL 32 Extraction Robot is an instrument that performs fully automated nucleic acid purification using magnetic beads for up to 32 samples.
Automated steps include sample lysis, nucleic acid binding to magnetic beads, washes and nucleic acid elution.
After selecting the extraction protocols to be used via the software interface, the user configures the machine using the touch screen, loads the various solutions, samples and the tip comb(s) to protect the magnets. The user then closes the workstation cover and starts the protocol.
The protocol provides all the necessary instructions for the IDEAL 32 Extraction Robot to perform automated nucleic acid purification. Sample transfer into the various reagents and nucleic acid separation from the magnetic beads are performed by the magnet heads (4 rows of 8 magnets) to guarantee excellent reproducibility and minimize the handling time required for nucleic acid extraction and purification.
The system can be used with reagents from the oncology range (IDXtract-MAG and IDXtract-MAG-FFPE) or infectiology range (MAG FAST Extraction Kit, Microbial Lysis Solutions). With the oncology range, this autosampler can process up to 32 2-mL samples, 16 4-mL samples and 8 8-mL samples per run.
