Thrombophilia is a term used to describe conditions where the tendency to clot in the blood is increased, and therefore the risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) is high. Acquired and hereditary factors play a role in its etiology. Causes of acquired thrombophilia (age, obesity, smoking, etc.) and/or changes in many genes that play a role in the fluidity of the blood in the blood vessels affect the system towards the formation of thrombosis. Thrombosis is among the most common causes of death in the world. INOGene-PAI (4G/5G) RT-PCR Detection Kit is a singleplex PCR diagnostic kit that scans one region in one tube. A 4G/5G sequence length polymorphism consisting of the insertion/deletion variation in the PAI-1 gene is detected in the HEX channel. The kit is included the reagents shown in the table below
