Easy-K support
The Easy-K system consists of the Easy-K holder and the Easy-K reagent kit.
The reagent kit can be used without the Easy-K holder and purchased separately.
The Easy-K system is designed solely to search and quantify fetal red cells in the blood by the Kleihauer test with the Easy-K kit adapted, validated and manufactured by the Jacques Boy Institute of Biotechnology. The principle of this test is based on the non-elution in acidic and hot medium of fetal hemoglobin. The temperature control is carried out using a heated aluminum block. The thermal properties of the latter allow a precise and stable temperature control.
The support is controlled by a thermostat working in all or nothing mode, switching on the heating as long as the target temperature is lower than a first high limit (+ 38 ° C) and restarting when it reaches a second low limit (+36 ° C).
