Laser Probes are designed for use in vitreoretinal surgery to perform endo-ocular laser photocoagulation treatments at wavelengths from 500nm to 900nm. Laser fibers are fused at the tip of the probe to reduce ghosting and allow working even closer to the tissue.
Standard Laser Probe
• Precision centered fiber
• Plastic grip with enhanced tactile feel
Illuminated Laser Probe
• Combines lighting and laser functions in one hand grip.
• Allows “free hand” to perform other surgical maneuvers.
• Laser photocoagulation therapy
• Built-in illumination to aid surgical imaging
• Continuously adjustable articulation designed to offer greater surgical reach than conventional laser probes
ADVANTAGES
A wide variety of laser probes expand your surgical options.
Different connectors to fit most commercially available laser source models.
Panretinal photocoagulation in proliferative diseases such as proliferative diabetic retinopathy and venous occlusive diseases
Focal or grid photocoagulation for macular edema from diabetes or branch vessel occlusion
Treatment of threshold of prematurity and high risk pretreshold retinopathy
Closure of retinal microvascular abnormalities such as microaneurysms, telangiectasia and perivascular leakage
Focal ablation of the extrafoveal choroidal neovascular membrane
Focal treatment of pigment abnormalities such as avoidance of central serous chorioretinopathy.
Treatment of ocular tumors.
