The HELIOS 50 source is designed for X-ray applications with anode voltage adjustment range up to a maximum of 80kV. The device is characterized by its small size, high conversion efficiency and an analogue digital interface, RS-232 and Ethernet, that simplify integration.
The sophisticated inverter control circuit provides excellent anode voltage regulation, with low crest noise to the X-ray tube. The inverter regulates the filament power, thus achieving a high stability of the regulating power that contributes to the stability of the anode current and thus to the intensity of the X-ray flux.
The microcontroller on the electronic board performs control functions with second level feedback, linearizing the reading and writing functions and carrying out the temperature controls and the limits of the operating conditions; in case of an exception, it generates appropriate alarm signals.
The generator implements an event recording mechanism to facilitate the diagnostic process of any potential failure.
