Melissa 12 overlay mattress has good pressure-relieving properties. It should be used in combination with a base mattress of good quality. The overlay mattress has been developed as an aid for relieving and preventing pressure ulcers up to and including Category 2. It is supplied with the RX-5 Elastic mattress cover for fastening it to the underlying mattress.
