Guanidine salt can denaturate protein, make the secondary structure of protein disappear, lead to cell degradation and release nucleic acid; at the same time, guanidine salt can also inhibit nuclease, so as to ensure that the released nucleic acid will not be degraded. This product can inactivate the protein denaturation of freshly collected samples and greatly reduce the risk of biological infection in sample transportation and testing.
Key Components
It is composed of swabs and tubes containing preservation solution, not sterile.
The components of the preservation solution include guanidine hydrochloride, Tris -HCl, sodium chloride, disodium EDTA, Triton X-100 and purified water.
Sample Requirements
After collection, the samples can be stored at room temperature for 4 hours or stored at 2 ~ 8℃ for 48 hours; if the samples cannot be sent to the laboratory within 48 hours, they should be stored at -70℃ or below. Repeated freezing and thawing of samples should be avoided.
Limitations of test methods
This kit is only used for the transportation and preservation of clinical swab samples.
Warning and precaution
1. This product is a disposable non sterile product, which is only used for the collection, transportation and preservation of virus samples, and shall not be used more than expected.
2. It is forbidden to directly contact personnel (mainly the people who are collected) with the sampling solution;
3. It is forbidden to soak swab with sampling solution before sampling.
