This kit is intended for in vitro qualitative detection of Plasmodium falciparum antigens in human peripheral blood and venous blood. It is intended for auxiliary diagnosis of patients suspected of Plasmodium falciparum infection or screening of malaria cases.
Epidemiology
Malaria (Mal) is caused by Plasmodium, which is a single-celled eukaryotic organism, including Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium malariae, and Plasmodium ovale. It is a mosquito-borne and blood-borne parasitic disease that seriously threatens human health. Of the parasites that cause malaria in humans, Plasmodium falciparum is the deadliest. Malaria is distributed worldwide, mainly in tropical and subtropical regions such as Africa, Central America, and South America.
