This kit is suitable for qualitative detection of vibrio cholerae type O1 and enterotoxin gene nucleic acid in stool samples of patients with acute gastroenteritis, and provides an effective auxiliary means for clinical diagnosis and treatment of cholera.
Vibrio cholerae is a severe intestinal infectious disease caused by cholera toxin. It has the characteristics of rapid onset, rapid spread and wide epidemic range, and is one of the Class A infectious diseases under international quarantine. According to the difference of O antigen of vibrio cholerae, it can be divided into 139 serogroups. There are two main serotypes that can cause cholera, O1 group and O139 group. Seven cholera pandemics worldwide were caused by vibrio cholerae O1. The strong pathogenic effect of cholera is mainly caused by the cholera toxin (CT) secreted by vibrio cholerae. The cholera toxin is encoded by the gene ctx, so in cholera O1 group, the bacteria that do not produce cholera toxin CT will not cause cholera. The establishment of a simple, specific and rapid pathogenic diagnostic method is of great significance for the clinical diagnosis of vibrio cholerae.
