Epidemiology
Helicobacter pylori (Hp) is a Gram-negative helical microaerophilic bacterium. Hp has a global infection and is closely related to many upper gastrointestinal diseases. It is an important pathogenic factor for chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, and upper gastrointestinal tumors, and the World Health Organization has classified it as a class I carcinogen. With the in-depth research, it is found that Hp infection is not only related to gastrointestinal diseases, but also can cause cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, hepatobiliary diseases, chronic bronchitis, iron deficiency anemia and other system diseases, and even induce tumors.
