Description

The CATALYS system uses 3D OCT Imaging and INTEGRAL GUIDANCE Technology with automatic surface mapping and guided delivery to generate precise and accurate laser incisions . Key Features Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Three dimensional imaging technology for identifying anatomical surfaces. Detailed Scanning Performs over 10,000 A-scans. Specifications Patient Interface LIQUID OPTICS Interface: Liquid optical immersion Interface Sizes 14.1 mm (LIQUID OPTICS Interface) and 12.0 mm (LIQUID OPTICS Interface 12) Intraocular Pressure Rise 10.3 mmHg3 Imaging Type Full-volume, 3D, high-resolution, streaming optical coherence tomography (OCT) and video imaging Scanning Performs over 10,000 A-scans Laser Engine Femtosecond diode-pumped, solid state laser engine User Interface Touchscreen, guided user interface with on-screen keyboard Approximate System Size Width: 0.87 m Length: 1.64 m INDICATIONS The CATALYS Precision Laser System is indicated for use in patients undergoing cataract surgery for removal of the crystalline lens. Intended uses in cataract surgery include anterior capsulotomy, phacofragmentation, and the creation of single plane and multi-plane arc cuts/incisions in the cornea, each of which may be performed either individually or consecutively during the same procedure. CONTRAINDICATIONS The CATALYS System is contraindicated in patients with corneal ring and/or inlay implants, severe corneal opacities, corneal abnormalities, significant corneal edema or diminished aqueous clarity that obscures OCT imaging of the anterior lens capsule
