Description

TERACEL® Fibrillar is made from multilayered Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose (ORC), which the surgeon can easily peel with forceps in the desired amount. Each layer in TERACEL® Fibrillar is lightweight and voluminous, designed to melt at the bleeding site and stay in place until the operator removes it. This structure of TERACEL® is suitable for irregular surfaces or tissues, and its voluminous nature is beneficial in orthopedic/spinal and neurological surgery. Excellent hemostasis within 2-3 minutes. Antimicrobial effects against various Gram(+), Gram (-), and antibiotic-resistant microorganisms due to its low pH. Good handling characteristics during surgical operations. It does not adhere to surgical instruments. Absorbed within 7-14 days. Possesses bactericidal properties. Complies with USP requirements. Plant-derived product that minimizes tissue reaction. Does not cause irritation in the applied body/tissue. TERACEL® Fibrillar Hemostat (Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose) is sterilized using gamma radiation. TERACEL® Fibrillar Hemostat (Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose) is biocompatible, and ISO 10993 test reports are available.
