ALCADINONE® sutures are synthetic, absorbable, sterile surgical sutures made of Polydioxanone. When ALCADINONE® sutures are implanted into a living organism, they are absorbed by the organism and do not cause excessive tissue irritation. ALCADINONE® sutures are non-antigen and pyrogenic, only mild tissue reaction occurs during absorption.
To facilitate the operation, ALCADINONE® sutures are painted with FDA-approved D&C purple No:2.
ALCADINONE® sutures are produced in sterile, purple color, USP 6/0 – USP 2 (metric 0.7-5), in various lengths from 10 cm to 150 cm, with or without stainless steel needles.
Sutures are available in packs of one, two and three dozen.
