Functioning of Automatic Formaldehyde and Ammonia Evaporator
Essence of the method is lengthy (not less than 6 hrs) exposure of the cabinet leak-tightly isolated from external environment to the formaldehyde vapors (НСНО) with high humidity level in order to kill microorganisms and spores. After that formaldehyde vapors are neutralized with ammonia vapors (NH3).
Evaporator is placed inside the cabinet’s work chamber; appropriate amounts of reagents are placed into evaporator’s storage tanks; appropriate time limits of exposure are entered to evaporator’s control system; after that the cabinet is sealed with special tools or with air-tight bag from the external environment. Evaporator is activated inside the cabinet and the process continues automatically.
To achieve high humidity with formaldehyde vapors, formalin solution (37%) is evaporated with an equal amount of water.
To generate ammonia vapors, aqueous ammonia solution (25%) is evaporated.
