Invasive fibers are fibers that are used inside the body for medical purposes.
Depending on the application, different versions of invasive fibers can be manufactured. This generally concerns bare fiber pigtails, which are equipped on one side with an SMA connector. The other side is typically cleaved or equipped with so-called fiber tips such as a spherical lens.
Upon request, we can also supply coded fibers (i.e., containing an RFID identifier).
Typical applications include kidney stone fragmentation, pneumology, and tissue ablation.
