LASEROPTEK’s PicoLO Premium is packed with innovation, representing a major step forward in picosecond pulse lasers for medical aesthetics. This next-generation pico laser delivers new levels of clinical effectiveness and efficiency enabling advanced treatments that address skin rejuvenation, scars, benign pigmented lesions, and tattoo removal. Combining extremely stable Nd:YAG 1064 & 532nm picosecond pulse generation with a range of novel energy delivery handpiece technologies, PicoLO Premium enables precise, comfortable, and efficacious medical aesthetic procedures that benefit clinicians and patients alike. Stability Enables Results The efficacy and effectiveness of picosecond pulse laser treatment of skin are primarily dependent on laser output energy and pulse duration stability. The primary mode of action of pico lasers is the creation of photoacoustic cavitation that, in the case of pigment removal, fragments pigments into fine particles that are carried away by the body’s lymphatic system. In scar revision and skin rejuvenation treatments, the picosecond-generated photoacoustic effect triggers Laser Induced Optical Breakdown (LIOB) in tissue, resulting in extracellular matrix remodeling. LASEROPTEK’s in-house design, engineering, and manufacturing competence enable the technology behind PicoLO Premium’s class-leading picosecond energy and pulse duration stability. Pulse Duration Stability PicoLO Premium generated 1064nm and 532nm pulse durations were measured by an oscilloscope and charted. The standard deviation at both wavelengths is below 2% indicating a stability of 98%.
