ROBERT® is an innovative robot focusing on efficient rehabilitation and early mobilization of patients, by training of the lower extremities.
Therefore, ROBERT® can perform resistance to any movement, as designed by a healthcare professional, and the resistance level of the exercise is adjusted to the patient’s functional strength.
In the same time, ROBERT® can guide the patient through the exercises, while the patient's functional status determines the level of activity during the exercise.
ROBERT® offers the possibility to increase the training intensity by a high amount of repetitions (200+) which makes it a great fit for an optimal rehabilitation process, providing an early mobilization.
ROBERT® is also unique in terms of plantar and dorsal flexion training, by isolating and specifically training the plantar and dorsiflexors. This is essential in the process of regaining the ability to walk. Besides, the uniqueness of ROBERT® comes also from the capability to perform precise abduction and adduction exercises for the lower extremities in order to efficiently control the hip function of the leg.
