The C 106X/1 is intended for primary pressure control of noncorrosive, high purity or liquefied gases or for applications where minor fluctuations in outlet pressure due to diminishing inlet supply can be tolerated. For ultra high purity or corrosive gases use the stainless steel version.
The R 104/1 is intended for secondary pressure control of noncorrosive, high purity or liquefied gases or as point of use pressure control in high purity gas distribution systems up to purities 5.0. For high purity or corrosive gases use the stainless steel version.
As carbon dioxide (CO2) or nitrous oxide (N2O) passes through a regulator seat, dry ice can form if the flow is too high, causing the regulator to freeze up. The V106P/1 regulators are specifically designed to prevent freeze-up problems associated with high flows of CO2 and N2O. The V106P/1 regulators are generally recognised as safe (GRAS) and are suitable for use with FDA‘s GRAS-approved food additive gases and with process gases in pharmaceutical production.
