- Heatable mixing vessel This type of mixer was designed as a cost-efficient alternative to planetary mixers and planetary dissolvers. The triple-bladed butterfly arm is matched to the vessel diameter as to ensure that the product flow is continuous and prevents the occurrence of flow-free zones in the mixing vessel. The counter-rotating vessel scraper is separately driven and prevents material collecting at the vessel side walls. In this way intensive friction and dispersing forces are created by the interaction between the butterfly arm and the vessel scraper. Every planetary mixer, planetary dissolver and butterfly mixer can be customised to meet specific requirements. They can be manufactured from various special materials, providing different heating- or cooling solutions, as well as a variety of discharging machanisms. Furthermore, the interior surface of the vessel may be sanded, a large variety of drive motors are available, mixers can be adjusted to operate in a vacuum, and all devices can be outfitted with thermal sensors and additional overlapping low-torque mixing arms with higher effective rpm ranges.
