Instead of the microscope, the 380FM-U allows the entire setup to move. Because of the aligned laser and optical pathway, the stage is an ideal solution for 2-P microscopes where moving the microscope frame is not possible. Because of its short height, the 380FM-U can be used for InVivo, InVitro, and behavioral experiments. We created adapters that can be tightened and loosened without the use of tools to make switching between applications easier and faster. Manipulators and chamber holders can be placed anywhere around the experimental area thanks to the semicircular T-slot. This would not be achievable by mounting them directly onto an AV table using M6 threads. Treadmills, mobile home cages, stereotaxic frames, InVitro- or InVivo bridges can all be mounted in a few simple steps using the 380FM-U shifting table and our LNscope.
