The Manusa P50 acoustic hermetic door, in its sliding version and for X-ray rooms, is a door specially designed for sanitary environments, where acoustic insulation is also required.
The improvement has consisted of changing the PIR core of the P50 for a rock wool core and acoustic reduction sheets. The P50 acoustic hermetic door has successfully passed the tests in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 10140-2:2022 standard “Laboratory measurement of Airborne Sound Transmission Loss of building partitions elements”, where we have obtained a reduction of 36dB and its equivalence to the STC (Sound Transmission Class) which would be STC36.
They help to keep the room free of any external contamination by sealing the inlet to maintain a pressure differential between the two adjoining rooms. They optimise the utilisation of treated air within a surgical area and reduce the running costs of an operating theatre or clean room. Acoustic insulation is also important and is increasingly in demand for healthcare sector, where different areas, such as ICU rooms or operating theatres, need to be protected from external noise, where silence is paramount.
