What is the M-900?
The Marsden M-900 Bed Weigher is a premium, Class III Approved portable bed weighing scale, suitable for hospitals and care homes. This bed weigher has a capacity of 600kg, making it ideal for use with bariatric beds.
How do bed weighing scales work?
There are many types of bed weigher available, but for true portability we recommend the M-900.
Two weighing beams with fold out ramps are placed in front of the castors, and the bed can then be simply rolled onto the weigher. The digital weighing indicator has a Tare/Preset Tare function, allowing the weight of the bed to be instantly deducted from the reading. This means that, with the patient in the bed and the bed on the scale, only the weight of the patient will show on the display.
Using the full numeric keypad, the patient’s height can also be entered and this means the scale will calculate BMI.
Once the patient weighing is complete, the weigh beams can be transported with ease by using the carry handles and wheels.
What is a Class III Approved scale?
Class III Approved medical scales, like the M-900, are built, tested, verified and calibrated in order to meet a specific standard. Class III scales must be used ‘in the determination of mass in the practice of medicine for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosis and medical treatment’. Find out more in the NAWI directive. To give the user assurance of accuracy and reliability, an EU notified body will test Approved scales rigorously.
Why should I choose the M-900?
Choose the Marsden M-900 if you need an easy to use, portable bed weighing scale which is suitable for weighing almost any bed, including bariatric beds.
