Description

With multiple wearing options and accessories, OPUS 2 lets recipients choose the best setup for their daily lives. OPUS 2 has a modular design, allowing custom configurations of different battery packs and wearing options. When the indicator light on the control unit continuously blinks red, it’s time to replace the batteries. Pull the battery pack cover down and remove it from the battery pack frame. Use the magnetised underside of the D Coil to remove the used batteries from the battery pack frame. Place the coil over each battery one at a time to remove each from the frame. Insert the new zinc-air batteries with positive (+) poles facing out. Before you insert the new battery set, make sure the battery contacts are clean and dry. Avoid touching the battery contacts inside the battery pack frame. Finally, remove the foil stickers covering the batteries. Always replace all of the batteries at once rather than mixing used and new batteries. To turn OPUS 2 on, slide the battery pack cover onto the frame and close the battery pack lock. Don’t use excessive force. Battery Options Use only type 675 batteries to power your OPUS 2. We recommend using zinc-air batteries that are designed especially for cochlear implant systems. When you use OPUS 2 with the WaterWear accessory, however, you must substitute zinc-air batteries with another type of battery.
