medesign's Rescue Blanket is an extremely thin, tear- and waterproof foil which deflects rays of heat. medesign's Rescue Blanket offers protection against heat as well as against cold in the case of traffic, industrial, skiing or mountain accidents. It is a mandatory element of every first aid kit in German motor vehicles. The metallic foil is used to prevent hypothermia by keeping the injured person dry and protected from wind and weather. The Rescue Blanket is wrapped around the person with the silver side facing the body to protect the injured person from cold. Make sure the face is kept uncovered. The Rescue Blanket should not be placed directly on the skin. Good insulation can only be guaranteed if clothing is worn or the blanket is wrapped loosely to allow air to circulate. Further Information Place the injured person on the blanket in a lateral position. Loosely wrap the blanket around the person and secure it with duct tape if needed. Material: Aluminium.
