The Velcro® Perineal Vest is designed to secure the patient in armchairs or wheelchairs using a strap that acts as a belt, which is adjusted with a hook-and-loop system on the back of the seat and secured with a sliding metal buckle. The upper chest is secured with straps that incorporate quick-release plastic clips; these straps cross over the patient’s back and fasten to the belt, while the perineal band prevents downward sliding. This product is particularly useful for people with stability problems related to functional disabilities. The easy-release plastic clips allow for quick and safe application, and its design facilitates adjustment according to the patient’s size. It is made of padded polyester with a water-repellent, stain-resistant treatment both inside and out, and features thermoset polyester reinforcement straps for added durability.
