An innovative measuring device is available to the Medipee platform system for the immediate recording of urine values during the toilet. This is attached to the outside of the toilet and works completely automatically after initial setup, coupled with the Medipee app. The data obtained via the device is processed by the app and can be used by yourself or passed on to healthcare professionals if necessary. The analyses range from simple pH determinations to demanding urine value measurements. How urinalysis works with the meter – automatic and digital. 1-Pairing of smartphone/tablet via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). 2-The app is used to arm the system. 3-From this point on, a thermal sensor measures the temperature at the location centrally located just above the siphon water surface at the slope of the toilet, see figure on the left. If urine flows through this point, the temperature changes and the device starts the measurement. 4-A test sheet is removed from the cartridge and attached to the measuring arm. 5-The measuring arm brings the test sheet into the draining urine film. There, the leaf is wetted with urine. 6-After the measurement has been completed, the test sheet is disposed of in the toilet via a scraper. 7-The digitally available measurement data are evaluated and stored. 8-ready!
