High-precision microtome mechanics With its high-precision microtome mechanics, the manual Microtome M380 is ideally suited for manual sectioning in the laboratory. Since it does not require power supply to be used, it can be set up and used flexibly at any workstation. Horizontal feed and retraction are done mechanically, the vertical sectioning stroke is done manually using the smoothrunning handwheel. This enables an adapted and sensitive sectioning movement, controlled by the user. Its proven, high-precision microtome mechanism is developed and manufactured in Germany and ensures maximum sectioning quality. The specimen can be aligned to the desired position using the trim wheel on the left. The mechanical slice thickness regulator is clearly visible above the specimen clamp to easily set the μ number. Then, the fine sections can be carried out with the handwheel on the right-hand side. The handwheel is characterized by its ergonomic position and ease of movement, and can be easily locked in any position using a spring lever.
