Similar to its predecessor, the system has been designed to streamline the online/offline monitoring of total organic carbon (TOC) in both pure and ultra pure water. Enhancements in reliability, achieved through conductivity detection, have been further bolstered by incorporating direct surface UV oxidation geometry and optimizing fluidics and sensor coordination. This heightened measurement accuracy not only improves precision but also reduces costs and environmental impact by slashing water consumption to 7 mL/min – approximately 50% less compared to previous models, resulting in a saving of 3600 L/year. Incorporating new features such as a long-life UV lamp (with a lifespan of 12 months) reduces maintenance expenses and minimizes waste. The miniTOC² boasts a low detection limit of 0.5 ppb and an extended measuring range of up to 1500 ppb.
